CPM Investigating Akeela Health Data Breach

CPM is Investigating a data breach at Akeela Health that has disclosed the personal and health information of nearly 300,000 Alaskans.  According to its website, “Akeela, Inc is one of Alaska’s oldest and most diverse Behavioral Health programs, incorporated in 1974. We provide outpatient and residential substance use treatment for community populations in Anchorage and a wide range of outpatient mental health services..”

Akeela has admitted that in June 2023, criminal hackers accessed Akeela’s networks systems and stole the personal and health information of Akeela’s customers in Alaska. Inexplicably, Akeela waited over a year before notifying its customers of the data breach, leaving them at severe risk of identity theft and other misuse of their personal financial and health information.

If you received a notice of the data breach from Akeela, Inc., you may be entitled to compensation.
