CPM Investigating NorthBay Healthcare Data Breach
CPM is investigating a data breach at California-based NorthBay Healthcare that may have disclosed the personal and medical information of over 569,000 patients. The breached data includes Social Security numbers, biometric information, driver’s license numbers, and credit or debit card numbers. According to NorthBay Healthcare, an unathorized party gained access to this sensitive information between January 11 and April 1, 2024.
If your identity theft monitoring service has notified you that your information was included in the breach, you are a NorthBay patient or former employee and believe your personal information has been stolen, or you have received a notification from NorthBay Healthcare, you may be entitled to compensation.
Companies like NorthBay Healthcare that handle patients’ most sensitive information must do more to protect the valuable data entrusted to them. The public deserves to have their information protected and when corporations like NorthBay fall short of their obligations, consumers are entitled to compensation.
