Overview

Caroline Yuen is an associate at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy. Her practice is in civil litigation with a focus on commercial litigation, environmental law, and consumer protection.

Caroline obtained her law degree from the University of Oxford, where she served as a representative for the University's pro bono program, Oxford Legal Assistance. As part of that program, she helped a local law firm provide asylum and human rights legal aid clinics for low-income individuals. After graduating from law school, Caroline practiced for several years as a litigation solicitor at an Am100 law firm based in London. There, she worked on large-scale, complex commercial and property disputes while continuing to take on a variety of pro bono work.

In 2022, Caroline moved to the United States to complete a master of laws at UC Berkeley. After graduating on the Dean's List, she worked as a senior research fellow at UC Law SF, conducting in-depth legal research on intellectual property law, anticompetition law, and the pharmaceutical industry. In 2024, Caroline was appointed as an Adjunct Professor at UC Law SF, where she co-teaches a seminar on patent law.
