Overview
Valerie Barretto received her B.A. in Business Administration from Chaminade University of Honolulu. While attending Chaminade, Valerie played at a collegiate level for the Chaminade Silverswords Women’s Softball team. She was nominated as team captain her junior and senior year. In between her time in the classroom and on the field, Valerie enjoyed volunteering at the YMCA Kaimuki-Waialae Branch and Palolo Elementary Kama‘āina Kids.
Valerie began her career as a legal assistant at a family law firm in Honolulu, Hawaii. The attorney Valerie assisted was legally blind, and she attended court hearings, trials and depositions regularly with this attorney. At this firm, Valerie realized she enjoyed working in the legal field, and learned that helping clients seek justice was rewarding work. She later moved to the Bay Area and continued her education at San Francisco State University where she received her ABA approved Paralegal Certificate. In 2012, Valerie brought her skill set and experience to CPM.
Valerie enjoys visiting her family and friends in her hometown, Santa Maria, California, and spending quality time with her husband, daughter and two dogs.
